Today was a great day, but a very very busy one. Billy and I were running around all over the school trying to get signatures for the new equipment we are in the process of buying for our club this semester. Our club treasurer is very hard to reach so we also have to appoint a new treasurer as soon as possible. We are getting a total of $1,983.85 in camera equipment and I am very excited because I will get to take some good photos of the major Fashion Show that is going to be held this semester in our school. I will definitely post those photos after the event to demonstrate the power of the equipment we purchased.

On another note: today was blazing hot! O-M-G, the temperature went well into the upper 80’s and it is not even June yet! The only thing that saved us from heat exhaustion was the wind; it was very windy and it felt sooo good in the shade. Here is a photo I took of Danica, while she played with the flowers in the garden at Washington Market Park:

Before

We, and the kids, decided to go see “Alice in Wonderland,” the 3D Imax version, a few days ago. I was kind of expecting a lot from that movie — mainly because it was showing on a theater that costs nearly $20 per seat. Well, as it turns out, it totally bombed! The kids didn’t even react to whatever “humor”  there was, if there even was any. For two hours they just sat there. And, the worst part about it was that they were so excited to go and see it.

What a waste of money that was… next time I will read reviews before dropping any of my precious dollars on a hyped up movie.  Anyway, we did get some funny pictures of Danica wearing her 3D glasses lol

Danica, enjoying the snow just as much as me, after finding out that my only class for the day was cancelled :-)

Hi all,

I took a photo of Danica the other day and decided to experiment with it in Photoshop. I originally intended on having loads of candy raining into her mouth, but I later found out it would take me forever to edit that on Photoshop. Therefore, here is what I ended up with instead:

Before

After

Good evening all, Today was a great day! Danica got to play in the snow this morning, and in return I took some adorable pictures of her. I’ve got to say, though, I haven’t seen such big snow flakes, such as the ones I saw today, in a very long time!

Danica and I were heading to Monica’s apartment on January 26; this is the best shot of the day:

I decided to log onto my blog today because I have a photo of Danica that I took a few months ago and never got around to actually editing it until last night. The photo was taken on the day I took photos for the Fashion Club’s pamphlet cover. Danica was pretty tired — because her and Monica waited for me all day — but we made her pose for us anyway lo. Here’s the shot:

Aww, you caught me!

Danica turned 3 yesterday and it was a definitely a birthday Monica and I will not forget. We decided to take Danica and JJ to Playland, located in Rye, NY; Playland is an amusement and water park all-in-one. To get there we had to take the Metro-North railroad and it was my first time ever taking that train so with as many precautions as I had already taken – hopstopped the directions, sent them to my phone, viewed a map of the town, checked the train schedules, checked the park rates and hours – I was still anticipating confusion along the way.

There is one thing we did forget to check, though, the weather… As soon as we arrived we ate our breakfast and the rain gladly greeted us with a cold welcome. It began to pour as if we were stuck in the middle of a rain forest! Either way, we decided to make the best of it. We ran like maniacs through the rain and it was amazing. We had the time of our lives :-)

Although most of the rides were closed due to the weather we still managed to scare the living crap out of the kids in a haunted roller coaster ride lol. I just wished I could have taken pictures of their reactions while we were on the ride, but even at 3200 ISO my camera was only taking pitch black photos. Afterwards, they rode on an air-balloon-swing-around ride that Danica got totally freaked out on because she thought she was going to fall from it.

Next, after letting them hop on another coaster we walked on over to the swimming pool. The nice thing about being at an amusement park in bad weather is that there it is virtually empty. There was literally only 10 to 15 visitors, including us, in the swimming pool. We really enjoyed being in the pool because the water in the pool was much warmer than the water hitting us from the rain lol. The bad part about that was that the pool was only 5 feet high, at the most and we had to come up often or we would be kneeling most of the time. We had to leave the pool within 30 minutes of entering it because we began to freeze our behinds :-P .

Forty minutes later we took the kids on another ride then headed to a boardwalk that was attached to the other end of the park and was also completely empty. We were the only ones there for at least 40 minutes. We took tons of pictures, but had to leave because the rain had subdued and we were afraid it was going to come down hard on us again.

When we arrived home Monica and I left the kids at home with Monica’s brother while we ran out to buy her a few cheap gifts and a birthday cake at Baskin Robbins. I will be putting up all of the pictures in a day or so but I do not have the time to finish all of them in one day. In the mean time, however, I only have a picture of the cake that I would like to put up and a picture of what Danica used to look like when she was a couple of months old.

Hey guys and gals,

Wow, has it been a long time or what? I am so very sorry for not posting in such a long time but I’ve been trying to take care of very important matters as of late. During the little free time I received, I decided to update my resume, rewrite my cover letters, apply for jobs, and receive no replies in return, yet I still have to continue to applying or else I am going to starve when school is back in session.

I guess it’s true what is being said about the recession. I have been out of work for a little over a year now and it is only getting tougher and tougher to land an interview. Hence, if anyone is looking for a starting out photographer and who would like inexpensive service; whether it be family portraits, engagements, weddings, baby showers, charity, or modeling – let me know and I am gladly at your service; contact me at info@jasonnunezphotography.com or leave me a comment.

So, without further ado, I would like to present to you the photos I have had some time to take or mess around with on Photoshop:

This is a photo I took, with a reverse macro lens set up, of my cousin’s eye that I manipulated on Photoshop. Here is the original: http://i25.tinypic.com/2n0khs9.jpg and stock image: http://storage.sxc.hu/x/xm/xmje43p/746512_10161994.jpg
